The “WASTE MATERIAL, A RESOURCE NOT A WASTE” exhibition by Clarissa Acario from CARE STUDIO & ATYPIQUE ATIPICO at IMPACT in HALL 2.2 - Inside area
Exhibition and Interactive Workshop
The “WASTE MATERIAL, A RESOURCE NOT A WASTE” exhibition by Clarissa Acario from CARE STUDIO & ATYPIQUE ATIPICO aims to raise awareness about upcycling via renchatment by design: waste material is a resource which we should be taking advantage of, rather than throwing away. This concept defines the haute couture of the future as the reuse of materials through craftsmanship of an outstanding quality. Let’s inspire the next generations!
The interactive workshop creating the “wire” dress will run over the 3 days and will be hosted by Clarissa Acario from CARE STUDIO & Sofia Linares from ATYPIQUE ATIPICO. The dress will be created from materials that are usually considered “rubbish,” such as electrical cables. A dress that will allow us to question the human relationship with “connected clothes.” The participants will learn new techniques in both weaving and macramé. This co-designing will lead to a greater appreciation of the time and skill required to create real craftsmanship.
